Road directions from Stornoway
Take the A859 towards Tarbert. At Leurbost, turn right onto the A858 to Bernera/Uig. At Garrynahine, take the B8011 towards Bernera/Uig. After 3 miles, turn right onto the B8059 to Bernera. Follow this road for 5 miles until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge, follow the road around the bend, then take the first right, signposted Circebost. At the next junction, turn right and go over the hill. Where the road bends to the left, turn right (NOT towards the pier). Rudha Glas is at the end of this road (see photo). Parking is available on the driveway.
Road directions from Harris
Take the A859 towards Stornoway. At Leurbost, turn left onto the A858 to Bernera/Uig. Then follow the directions as above.
Getting to Rudha Glas by bus
From Stornoway, Route W3 goes from the bus station to Bernera, with a change at Garrynahine. Ask to be dropped off at the turning circle in Kirkibost. Buses run at different times depending on school holidays. There is no bus service on Sundays. From Harris, Route 10 goes to Stornoway (summer only). Change at Cameron Terrace (Leurbost) and then again in Garrynahine. An overview of all bus routes in the Western Isles can be found here.
